Paying tuition at TJHSST is a ridiculous expense. I had no idea we pay tuition to send kids to a governor’s school.
So you'd rather pay more to educate them in Arlington? And not offer them the best education available at the country's top public high school? You had no idea....so do a little more investigating about the why's and possible benefits before you jump to a conclusion. And NO - Arlington Tech is NOT the same as the TJHSST program.
I don't like the idea of paying for Arlington school children to go to a different county for schooling. You could always move to Fairfax if that's where you want to go to school.
(New poster.) Governors schools are regional in nature and open to all. Arlington’s Career Center is also regional in nature and the City of Falls Church pays for students to take courses at the Career Center. Both TJHSST and the Career Center are wildly popular and successful regional programs. It’s a benefit to have these options which have been offered for many generations now. Eliminate the administrative bloat before eliminating popular program options like TJHSST.
