Oh yes. That was a major status brand starting in 5th grade. Everyone wanted the long sleeve henley with a bunch of little buttons and the tag on the outside. Better if you had two different colors to layer.[/quote]

In our area the Outback Red line that was popular had long skirts with lace petticoats and white blouses with lace insets. I was so excited I got the whole outfit when I graduated from 8th grade.

My graduation dress was a pink gunne sax long gown with high neck and lace overlay. I thought it was the most beautiful thing ever! I had seen it in Teen magazine and then found it on clearance after prom season.  I then recycled it for a dance in high school.

Sadly we moved in 9th grade and my petticoats were not a thing. But I wore that slip as a nightgown for years.[/quote]
