They are completely obsessed; it’s the only thing they care about (sometimes even over school!) and their kids are not collegiate level athletes. Then their kids go to college, that culture/social group dissolves, and they want to be BFFs with their pre-sports friends again. No thanks, the rest of us moved on. I completely respect this meant a lot to you, but you cannot expect your other friends to sit on the sidelines for 4-6 years. [/quote]
