Not true! I transferred to private and they offered me my exact salary. And conditions are far better. A lot of my new coworkers are former public school teachers, as well.

And your exact insurance plan and pension? I can’t leave due to those things, but I sure wish I could. MCPS is sinking and it makes me so sad. I truly loved teaching and now I would never advise anyone to go into it- but if they did, there is no way I’d recommend MCPS. I think you need smaller districts who are able to address issues as they come up. Equity for all is not working for anyone.[/quote]

You mean smaller wealthy districts, because otherwise smaller districts absolutely don’t address things as they come up.  Go ask the other MD districts struggling to implement Blueprint.[/quote]
