A few things not yet addressed by police:
-Where's the knife? Is this a kitchen knife?
-Who has wounds from the knife attack? Usually a killer will get scratched during the struggle. 
-Bloody clothes and rags? Are there blood traces in the rest of the house?
-LEOs almost always have security and surveillance at their home. Ring doorbell camera footage from family home + adjacent neighbors?

Way too many gaps in this case for these two to get away with it.

The only open question still in my mind is whether Brendan (1) actively helped in the premediated plotting with the AP or (2) merely tried to help cover-up for the AP after the fact.

His blatant lie along with his clamming up to police leads me to believe the AP did this spur of the moment and he was trying to help her cover-it-up. [/quote]
