I'm not defending Trump here but IF Trump was not running for President again, and IF Trump did not have such a commanding lead in the primary polling, I doubt any of these charges would have come to fruition. Charges here and elsewhere were only brought once those two things became evident. It IS political persecution. [/quote]

There are eighteen other people involved in this conspiracy, each of whom will go on to do other things in politics.  Even to this day Nixon-era "dirty tricksters" like Roger Stone and Paul Manafort are still causing problems.[/quote]
