If I were part of an incoming high school club class that did not make Capital Blue I would strongly consider getting the next group of 20-22 most talented players coordinated and aligned to either stay with or go to Pride or Stars. I know easier said than done, but there could be a lot of benefit to taking this route if someone can pull it off. The reason being you know Capital Orange will play second fiddle to Blue. They will never play in the top brackets with Blue, they will not receive the same exposure to college coaches as Blue, and they will not get the same recruiting support as Blue. And many colleges do not recruit players from the same club in the same class, so Blue players will get this nod over Orange players every time. If the next group of 20-22 players band together with Pride or Stars they will be the primary focus. You could have the chance to play in the top brackets, which would mean much better exposure to college coaches. The risk is these clubs do not have track records with recruiting. Pride is sending some players to great D1 schools so you could at least lean on this alumni for some guidance. You would want to make sure Pride or Stars has a recruiting plan in place starting from day one in the high school program. Capital Orange is definitely an option. And some girls will be recruited from that team. But if a strong group can be put together I would choose another clubs A team for the reasons above.
The 25 class is probably the first class where you can decide if Pride Black is a better landing spot than CLC O. This is the first class for Pride's "new" recruiting director to see if she is adding value. Both teams are pretty equal as shown by the close game and while they might play in different brackets I almost think that is more by design than skill.
