NYC wealthy are in a different class than all but a few in DCUMland. Not just celebrities, but Hedgefund/all of big finance.  This school is in the Upper East side----majority of those families likely live in $5-10M brownstones or the like.  These are the families spending $100K+ on SAT test prep and private college counselors.  If you've started on 3rd base in preschool, those kids are prepped for getting into T20 schools---many other kids would be too if they had those resources from birth[/quote]
