I can ask this since it is a fashion thread - most of these women are wearing sky high stiletto heels - how??? I really do not understand how women walk in those for more than a few minutes without turning an ankle and/or being in immense pain.
Practice and well-fitted shoes. I used to wear insanely high heels to work (when I was younger lol) and I didn't find them terribly hard to walk and I still have well-fitted heels that are more comfortable than poorly-fitted flats. You get used it, in short. I've only ever sprained my ankle when I was wear sneakers.
It also helps a lot when you are driven everywhere, and right up to the front door, and then once out of the car there are often carpets laid everywhere to cushion the floors. It's still a lot of time in shoes that would personally make me wince just putting them on, but I think the lifestyle helps to make it easier. But yes, also lots of practice and understanding how to walk in the shoes to minimize the pain and stress on joints (a lot of people walk and stand with poor posture and alignment so that when we put on a pair of high heels, it actually makes it more painful than it needs to be because we are pushing our hips forward and locking our knees, due to week lower backs and tight hamstrings).
