Its state by state but I think all states require that "comp" be actually just related to the hardship of surrogacy. As someone who had a child by surrogate - it was an enormous blessing - I cannot have kids do to a deformed uterus I was born with - and the fact that someone chose to help me is the biggest gift I can imagine getting. I cant fathom asking someone to do that just cause you dont want stretch marks or cant fit it in your schedule. [/quote]
