The comment that McLean has had its entire roster all season is inaccurate. The referenced player was injured in the South Lakes game after scoring 6 goals in the Chantilly game and was out until the Wakefield game. Even then, he was 75% to 80% at best, and played only 1 1/2 quarters when the coaches took him out to rest him for the Lake Braddock game. Against Lake Braddock, he scored 5 of McLean's 12 goals.

A number of players have stepped up for McLean this year, particularly on defense with its two LSMs and goalie playing  especially well.

Lake Braddock is clearly the most talented team McLean has played this year, particularly on offense with its D1 midfielder and attack each scoring 2-3 goals against McLean and deserves the credit people give them.

While McLean obviously benefitted from a softer schedule, it probably has been a bit underrated this season. This may be because it has not traditionally had a strong program and because it won only one game during last fall's VEL season. While other schools certainly had players who did not play VEL, McLean lost the majority of its starters to other sports last fall, including three on McLean's varsity basketball team and several others who played varsity football. That said, while McLean may not be at the level of the top teams, e.g., Lake Braddock, Yorktown, Madison, and Robinson, with a little luck, it may be able to surprise some people later on this season. In any event, it should be a fun experience for the players.
