Imagine if Poland entered the war with 247 Leopard II's with well-trained crews started rolling  towards Moscow?  What would stop them?  But oh, that's not all.  The Polish government has a few tricks up it's sleeve.

For those who are not familiar, the South Korean K2 is considered comparable to a top-of-the-line US Abrams M1 or German Leopard 2A7.  Now imagine that scene - 247 Leopard 2's, plus 800 K2's.. that's a lot of pierogi.  Oh, but wait!  It gets even better!  Poland signed a deal for not 800, but 1000 tanks!

If Russia is really pulling T-54's and T-55's out of Cold War stocks out of the Far East region, that means they already burned through their T-72 and T-62 stocks out of the western storage facilities.

Although the Russians upgraded the T-62's, it was mainly additional armor and night-vision.  It would be highly unlikely the main gun would be upgraded due to the engineering involved.  That means they can't 'fire on the move' effectively with a stabilized main gun.  It also means that they probably can't hit anything with accuracy past 1.6 km (half that range at night).  The Leopard could easily pick them off and I'm not sure if the T-62 can even penetrate a Leopard at 1.6 km?  Or even at 800m?

My guess is Xi knows this, Putin overplayed his hand at the summit by asking for too much (ammo, weapons, troops, aircraft, etc.), and Xi left Moscow laughing at him.  That's why Xi is inviting all the 'stans' to the new Kool Kids Club in Mandarin.
