A month or two ago during a board meeting CDT said she was walking around a school recently and came across a classroom doing a lesson on Japanese internment. And the kids were on their iPads switching between “taking notes” and watching the World Cup. She said, and I’m not kidding, this was great and a good use of classroom technology, because “that’s how work gets done today”. I thought I was hallucinating. I showed it to my wife and her jaw dropped. But it barely merited mention on AEM the next day. I guess that’s what passes for leadership in Arlington. [/quote]
