Comparing PPD to depression is interesting and the lack of care for mental illness My mother has cancer and is treated like a queen with services, hospital care and even wigs covered I have terrible PPD, but can’t for the life of me find a therapist. Thankfully my OB will prescribe Zoloft to keep me sane but actual care or treatment is impossible to find.
I haven't had PPD but I have had other mental health struggles. It's extremely hard to find someone for mental health care. Beyond a pill
I think mental illness is now so pervasive and many of the people suffering may be in denial. The ones seeking help are probably the milder ones. It’s not easy to identify and seek help for someone who doesn’t want to admit there’s a problem.
