Plenty of R voters hold a set of political views that, if they were elected officials, would get them primaried for being a RINO.   But that doesn’t mean they identify or would fit in with Ds.  It be like inviting a bunch of Manchins to the party (in states that aren’t WV).  They’d probably be very pro-gun, certainly low-taxes, and maybe pro-life, but also socially liberal.[/quote]

I’d guess biding their time (and secretly rooting for Cheney to kneecap Trump).  Their R policy coalition includes the Trump supporters and the RINOs have been evicted from leadership.  They may be okay with a populist “MAGA” agenda if they could just offload Trump.  And the D party has limited policy positions that would be appealing to a libertarian, so they aren’t going to jump ship en masse.[/quote]

Every horrific thing you’ve seen from the GOP in the last fifty years, but with a nice veneer on it. Racism - with a veneer! Hating women - but put an asterisk on it so nice White ladies can get their abortions and work as figureheads in the GOP! Stealing elections - but not openly like Trump and the GOP did on 1/6, more like how they’re codifying Jim Crow back into law and relying on activists to toss out the ballots they don’t want, so make the election stealing look legitimate, with a wink!

What else would you call it when a woman has to be afraid to have sex with her husband lest their birth control fail? What do you call it when people can’t trust the water coming out of the faucet and kids can’t go outside to play because the air quality is so bad and how do you think that feels for asthmatic people who could literally die? What else is it but domestic terrorism when people have to live in fear of getting sick and being bankrupted and losing their home? [/quote]
