NOBODY abroad knows Michigan or Emory. No need to insert yourselves just because your DC attends these schools. To be honest, other than Ivies, very few people abroad are familiar with American schools. Doesn't mean they are no good, they are just not household names. [/quote]

I haven't mentioned Emory and my kids are in middle school. If admissions and pricing of US colleges does not change, they will go to college abroad. I went to Harvard so I don't care either way. I am telling what I am seeing abroad.[/quote]
