If the last several years has made anything clear it's that we have put far too much trust for far too long in our "institutions" when what we really have is iterations of corruption echoing through every part of government.

No kidding.  I don't know what trust and collegiality has done for anyone.  The court is in the clutches of hard right partisans who are all too happy to rubber stamp the GOPs theocratic fever dreams.

And BTW - anyone who has read the decisions that Thomas and Alito have vomited up since being on the bench will know neither of them care about the legitimacy of the court. [/quote]
