Harry is the red headed guys son, not Charles’.
So much in that family to unpack. This, Diana's death, the countless affairs, Prince Andrew's involvement with Jeffrey Epstein. I would love to know Harry's true feelings on his marriage and leaving royal life. I would be happy to be out but I felt like he looked like a puppet in that interview with Oprah. I would also like to know the true story behind Bill and Hillary. Not the Lewinsky affair but did they ever really love one another? Is it a political marriage? Why did she stay when it seemed like being married to him only hurt her?
My take on the Royal family is very boring: the British aristocracy have been like this literally forever. barely a year goes by without a series of movie about them or their forebears. IT's just the way it is. Less murder these days. I feel like the consensus on Bill and Hillary is that they loved/love either very much, but Bill can't keep it in his pants. At some point, divorce didn't make sense re: her political ambitions, and here we are.
+1 re Bill and Hillary. I think they both agreed that it would be "her turn" after his presidency, so she was faced with two choices: (1) leave him, thereby creating more controversy, have the jilted ex-wife label for the rest of her life, and navigate electoral politics on her own, or (2) stay together, move past the cheating narrative, and have his/his team/Bill-friendly party infrastructure help launch her political career in NY. Add in the love/affection that I do think existed between them at some point, and she chose (2).
I think there was/is genuine love between them. How incredibly hurtful for her to have to endure public knowledge of their marital issues.
I read once that they both had political ambitions even when dating. Hilary did not want to move to Arkansas. But Bill’s plan was to move back there, run for Congress and convinced Hilary that they’d be in Washington within a fairly short time. But Bill lost and she was stuck there. I read a biography of hers several years ago and it seems there were excerpts of letters Hilary wrote to Bill about that not being their original plan. Have no way of knowing if its true or if I’m remembering it correctly but it does seem a likely scenario.
