False.  The death rate is much higher in Florida than in California. Or here.  Our behavior during these past two years has had a direct impact on death rates.  You can see that in the numbers.  Don't minimize what people in this area have done.

I said human intervention makes little difference in virus spread. Vaccines, however, do make a difference in deaths.

Even so, according to the link you shared, Florida is pretty close to middle of the pack on deaths. Right by Maryland. [/quote]
