Russia is a poor country- ranking GDP per capita by country is 81, Malaysia is 82. Ukraine is 135 Mongolia is 131. A middle class life in the US is very attractive to people in these countries( and other countries). Once married their extended family can come over. Some people just want out of their situation.

Yes there are websites. Google Ukraine brides. There are a bunch of companies that are “ matchmakers“. Some are legit and other are not. After every war there are war brides. After WW2 German and Japanese brides(and grooms) made their way to the US. [/quote]
