Ding. This has been my experience. Many people from the Midwest drive like maniacs and are weird, including my former doctor. DC is a multicultural city, with decent restaurants, wonderful museums, green spaces but it’s not easy at all to build friendships. People come and go.[/quote]

This. The friends I actually really liked that I made here all left, or were relocated via foreign service or other offers. And they're in no hurry to retu n because they want thei kids out of the pressure cooker and to hey hate it here [/quote]
