Is this person meant to be in my life? I think of them every day and wonder. Any insight you could give would help my peace of mind.
Hello! As I was shuffling, a card popped out before I could ask your question. It was the 9 of Cups reversed. This card upright is about happiness and fulfillment, but when reversed, as it is here, it is about feeling emotionally depleted. Your cups are empty and you are not happy. I feel as this speaks to how are feeling about your situation. The card I pulled that represents your energy in this situation is the 10 of Swords and the word cards FALLEN, SUN, and REPLENISH. The 10 of Swords shows a picture of a person on the ground with 10 swords in their back. You feel defeated. You have been hurt. This card also does suggest an ending. When I pull the word SUN (different from the tarot card Sun), it means that the information in the card it goes along with really needs to be examined. So with the words FALLEN and REPLENISH going along with that card, I believe that you are feeling pained from this situation and you need to find a way to replenish your emotional reserves. I feel there is nowhere to go but up from here and sometimes endings can bring about the most beautiful and unexpected gifts. It can be difficult to see though when we are stuck in a certain headspace. Allowing an ending to happen does not mean you don't love and care for the person, but instead it means you are also going to start caring for yourself. What can you do to start focusing on yourself more? The card I pulled that represents the other person is the 7 of Swords with the words HEAVY, COLD, and DISTANCE. Unfortunately the 7 of Swords can point to deceit, trickery, manipulation, and infidelity. I feel like this person may not be giving you closure because they want to keep you in "their back pocket". I feel like they know that if they were to reach out, you would come running back. With the word cards, I feel like they are purposely keeping you at a distance for a reason. It seems to me that you are very loving and kind hearted person and when you love someone, you would give them anything. I feel you may have done that in this situation and this person was using that to their advantage, which is a really crappy thing to do and what goes around comes around! I think it's important for you to focus on yourself at this time and do the inner work to help you set boundaries. I am a firm believer that if it is meant to be, it will be. However, if you are questioning if they are meant to be in your life, then you probably already know the answer. I also think it could be good for you to start trying to work with your intuition more. It will really be beneficial for you!
