There is absolutely zero reason they should be allowed to live among humans.   Zero.

What makes a pitbull so dangerous cannot be mitigated be any means.   Their "gameness" has been bred into them and is what makes them dangerous because they do not feel pain in a normal way, they refuse to let go once they latch on (it's not necessarily a stronger jaw), and many of them have hair trigger reactivity.

There are so many wonderful breeds out there that this one needs to die out.   Our neighbors recently got a pitbull/boxer mix and my daughter is no longer allowed to play in their yard.   It's just unnecessary risk.

Laws need to be passed to stop the breeding of these animals.  And it has to happen quickly.   Too many people and especially children are dying, while people are allowed to breed dogs like this:
