At my kids’ private school I never see obese people. Parents (and kids) are thin. Of all of my kids’ friends, some have a little extra weight (by my standard), but nobody is probably overweight (by American standards). I do see plenty of tall blond skinny moms (more than what I see in my wealthy NW neighborhood. I am not tall (unfortunately), but I am both thin and fit. I am of Mediterranean descent so I tend to put weight on my butt and legs. My husband wishes I were a little rounder (loved my pregnant body), but I don’t like it and (at 38) I prefer to look elegant instead of hot. I would look like the girl in the picture if I gained 20+ lbs.
The girl in the pic has photoshop done to shrink her waist line, if she is so desirable and the new standard of beauty, why the need for air brush...
Because all the influencers heavily edit their pics, even when they're paying us lip service about loving yourself (see NYT link below). The woman in the photo is Addison Rae. She has 80M TikTok followers and has spoken frequently about not having the traditionally "attractive" body type. If you have teenagers, ask them about her. https://www.nytimes.com/2021/03/23/magazine/addison-rae-beauty-industry.html
