Our school AART said April 26th. Does anyone else get the same info?
That would make appeals really hard! No time for testing...
They have made it very clear that they are not going to look at testing. It is on the web site that you can test but some AARTs have already told people that the appeals committee will not be looking at testing. The Equity report from last year recommended getting rid of the WiSC.
My son took the WISC last year before LAST Year’s Appeals. Would they not even consider that? It didn’t help him on appeals last year, despite being in the 99th percentile. But last year his GBRS was 4FO and 1 OB. Didn’t get any CO. I also submitted no work samples at all. He was in the original pool, and I honestly didn’t know much about the process, and just figured teachers would submit work. This year (grade 3) he is in advanced math (not last year), level III, and got 4CO. Also, very good report cards, mostly 4s. I also submitted good work samples as did the AART. SO I am hoping this year is different. But I do wonder if they will weigh the WISC since it was taken almost a year ago (prior to them saying test wont be counted.)
