Exactly. Yeah, DH said he has actually had a similar incident as a LEO. He said that it is too much paperwork and he did not understand the arrest for such BS. In DH's case he said he took the suspect back into the store and made the suspect give the cigarettes back and DH took the counterfeit bill from the store manager. Everybody went home safe. [/quote]

So what constitutes a "petty crime?"   If you are the owner of the convenience store that gets frequently burned by customers passing counterfeit money, do you think you'd say it's "petty" and should just be let go?

What other crimes are so petty they should just be let go?   And are you willing to volunteer to help/reimburse the victims of these "petty" crimes?  [/quote]
