There are a lot of factors that go into being a lineman. But frankly, the biggest factor is pure weight. The verage weight of a NFL lineman is about 320lbs. There just are not that many bodies that are both 320lbs AND athletic under 6'. You need a six foot frame to carry the mass necessary to move another man and also be able to move themselves.

320lbs of pure muscle on a 5'7 frame simply would lack the needed flexibility to even tie their own shoes. But, if they did exist and could move like their taller counterpart YES they would make an excellent lineman. The problem is, that person simply does not exist. [/quote]
