She told us that he would not be at the top of the 2nd grade reading class but that he would be challenged more than he was in the 1st grade class. Because he was ahead of most of the kids in 1st grade, he was bored during reading and did not get much out of it. She felt that being at higher grade and with kids a year older would challenge and stimulate him. It did. [/quote]
