Most wealthy people do not consider their cars to be assets even if cars have some market value. Most purchase their cars with the mental state of making a one-time expenditure. Like most things that serve a utilitarian function, cars depreciate. You can say the same thing about bikes, clothing, cookware, etc. I can guarantee you most wealthy people have nicer things even if they are all "depreciating assets". [/quote]
