The kitchen isn’t huge—we’re in a rowhouse—but is about 20x12. No island. A wall of cabinets/appliances on one side, a u-shape workspace and a booth-style table on the other side. Should get good sunlight, between 3 windows and a glass door.

I know I don’t want an all-white kitchen. I would like some color but not too trendy or too bold. I’m open to upper cabinets being a lighter color or even white.
Appliances will be stainless steel. I’m toying with brass fixtures (drawer and cabinet pulls, faucet?) but am torn because I fear it’s too trendy.

My style in general is probably best characterized as transitional, but lean a little modern.

Any ideas for cabinet, countertop, and backsplash colors? Any ideas for cabinet styles (just do shaker or something a little more modern)? I’d love to see some photos with our flooring showing different options for colors and styles.
