As someone who comes from a former colony of the British Empire, yeah, I am invested.  My grandparents generation was the last one in centuries of rule that was treated like crap.  It’s not that far from my reach in terms of impact.[/quote]

For some, they're still be impacted by being treated like crap. Did you see how the Brits treated the Windrush generation under May?

Senior citizens who immigrated healthy in the 1940s-1960s to help rebuild that country from scratch after all the bombings. Now the UK is trying to kick them out even though they came legally from Commonwealth countries!
