Ok.  I will tell you that compared to most people in the DC area, I am not nearly as caught up in prestige as most other people are.  I could care less about cars, am happy to buy clothes at Kohls, don't care about having a name brand purse, shoes, etc.   But yes college prestige DOES matter to me, I admit it.  So look around you.  You really think all these people who are driving luxury cars, wearing designer labels, etc. really care nothing about college prestige?  If it matters to a person like me, I think it matters to a great many people.  [/quote]
