Maybe other people are waiting for you to be on the roster before THEY accept.  I don't know how this all works at some many clubs across the area.  Parents don't want to make a blind commitment, but if no one commits until they see the roster, then there is no roster to see.  It's a circular problem... That element is still the same at MU as it is anywhere else. The external factors that are guiding folks decisions are different and the amount of cuts and possible departures with the uncertainty are what makes this different. This is incorrect.  Clubs release the roster.  In fact McLean posts it with the tryout # of the player online, so if a parent knows the player's tryout numbers, you can view the roster publicly online.

Most clubs, if not all, don’t post it.  Even in the McLean case, parents are writing down the number of their own player, not the 100 others that came out.  Posting the numbers is NOT posting a roster.

You missed my point.  My point was that they have set the roster and gave ANY version of it online.  To be secretive about the roster isn't good practice.  Some clubs even have the confidence to post it names and all online.

You have missed the point entirely that in general most clubs simply do not post rosters until everyone has accepted.

Posting offers is one thing, and posting them via a pinny number is no more useful than not knowing. MU could post the offers made and how exactly would that help?

So you are saying that MU will intact release the roster in the next few days?  How long exactly will they wait? Offers had 48 hours on them.  All I want is to find out this week, NOT August who is on the team.  And after the catastrophic mess of the past 2 years, they do have to prove themselves.

Because quite frankly, while I know ECNL and DA teams that get rostered officially no grape-vine told to the families, my focus isn't on that.  That's just proof that it happens.  I'm not going to post what I've been shown in confidence that other families in other clubs get.  What matters is MU.  I want THEM to do the right thing regardless of what anyone else does. If you haven’t clicked accept there is no roster to sit on. Until people accept there is nothing to tell you. If you are an outsider I get it but if you are an insider then talk to other parents for Christ sake and get an idea.

If I was an outsider and was told some names it wouldn’t mean much to me. If I was an insider and I was told some names of kids who joined it still wouldn’t mean anything to me. The only thing I know are the kids I know anyone else is frankly just a name. [/quote]
