Interesting theory. [/quote] They might for MS magnets where they use the full CogAT and get percentiles for the three batteries and programs are specific to content. For CES they only use the screener and the kids only take one subtest each area, so the composite is the only score they norm and show percentiles for. The score report will give you the raw score for each subtest, but MCPS selection committees do not use raw scores. They use percentiles for same age, same grade peers. (Students are compared to kids the same age - year and months, and the same grade who took the same test- so percentiles for raw scores will differ by age, and for the MCPS percentiles, by age and type of school).[/quote]
