I was taking photos of my kid at the ocean, and Jake Gyllenhaal came up to me and kind of got in my face and accused me of photographing him. He was so rude. I pointed out my kid a few feet away from him and he didn’t apologize or anything. On top of everything else, it was pretty awkward. I later heard from a friend who was on an airplane with him that he was rude to her too for no reason at all.
Lainey Gossip has a similar story about Jake Gyllenhaal. I can’t think of a recent movie he’s been in that I have liked. No idea why he’s such a jerk. Maybe it’s the whole Ted Casablanca/Toothy Tile outing. Lainey talks more about Gyllenhaal on her podcAst but here is a brief mention: My point is that even though I was standing on the carpet last night with Abhishek Bachchan, megastar to millions around the world, with fans screaming in the background, it didn’t feel like I was coming into that conversation like a second class citizen, which is the normal expectation on these occasions. This, for example, was my experience a few nights ago with Jake Gyllenhaal. I finished that interview feeling subhuman. https://www.laineygossip.com/bollywood-star-abhishek-bachchan-brings-husband-material-to-tiff-and-intro-for-september-12-2018/50813?categoryId=2386
