A colleague was a photo-shoot assistant for a few years in Brooklyn and said most celebrities are much more angular in person--i.e. Reese Witherspoon's chin and Natalie Portman's cheekbones. Exaggerated proportions look great on camera.

My funniest encounter was with John and Kate Plus 8 during the PEAK of their popularity. We were taking the same plane out of Philadelphia and they were horrible. They hilariously drawing attention to themselves by huffing and puffing about wanting privacy. Kate--with her wackadoodle highlights and haircut--was acting like she would vomit if a plebeian were to enter into her personal space. No one even cared that they were there! At the time, I was surprised that reality show "stars" were being so bratty, but I guess that was their true nature all along.
