You obviously don't live here.

The toll is just for the hot lanes. The hot lanes are for people who want to take the toll to avoid traffic. It's not mandatory-- it's a fee based system on demand. You don't need to pay it to get onto 66. It's like a luxury tax- that millenials are the ones that usually pay.

Most of the fees that are collected are from the state. That's why people drive old cars here-- to avoid paying the fees. There are other people buy their cars in MD and keep them registered their while living here for the schools, of which we are willing to pay higher taxes for until....

We can move out and not pay those taxes.

PP: now that it's been explained to you, let's consider a few things.

If you live in VA: NOVA pays the majority of state taxes, some of which you partake in. You should actually be hoping for more taxes, because really, it's not going to effect you much unless you make over 100k a year, which is the poverty rate in FFX.

Which we willingly pay for because we would rather the world be a better place than a selfish place. There are some things more important in the world than taxes. [/quote]
