It’s theater.  It’s intended to “justify” the demands for more construction funding.  If you do a count of the spaces, the total staff positions, and the student body count, you would see that  the parking change was unnecessary.  [/quote]

I can't say that it's unnecessary because there's been little/no enforcement of parking rules, so it's hard to tell if there are plenty of spaces or not. If you're a student but your parent works in TC or ACPS administration you can park in faculty spots with no repercussions. If you're a TC or ACPS administrator, you can park in handicapped spots (of which there are *just* enough to cover those who actually, legitimately need them) with no repercussions. If you're a TC or ACPS administrator, you can park in the travel lanes in the parking deck blocking traffic flow with no repercussions.   (See a pattern?)

Perhaps if the existing rules had been enforced properly, changes wouldn't have been necessary. But then that statement pretty much applies to TC as a whole, doesn't it? [/quote]
