And? Services cost money. Schools and highways cost money. Programs to improve the lives of less affluent people and immigrants cost money. Public transit solutions cost money.

Maryland residents CAN afford to be contributing more to our state, but they won't if they keep being given the option not to. Things aren't going to get better or more fair as long as selfish people continue to vote with their wallets.

Same here. And I hope he gets the gen assembly to get the state tax rates up where they should rightly be. This is NOT a poor state. Most people I know are very well off, and can absolutely afford more. [/quote]

More taxes doesn’t translate to more services, better roads, etc. If the state has more money, it has more resources  to waste. I prefer to focus on who will solve the  waste when I vote. [/quote]
