FYI, there's an interesting thread over on the Expectant Mom's board about recently named babies. I count at least 8 or 9 Sophia's so far (although some may be the same baby, since we DCUM's probably know people in common) but there are also some less expected choices. A few interesting ones so far: Girls: Frida, Georgia, Liesel, Margaux, Natasha, Nina, Selma, Sylvia and Talia Boys: Ari, Desmond, Eitan/Eton, Enzo, Jerome, Matteo, Nolan, Otis and Rocco http://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/135312.page
jeezus--those names are atrocious!
Yes, all of the boys names are rediculous. Rocco could be fun if you're super Italian, but would suck if your kid ends up on the dorky side. He's destined to be a meathead or juicehead with a name like Rocco. I kind of like Otis, but lots of people hate it. Are they ALL atrocious?? My DS has one of the boy names listed above ... and I love it even if others do think it is atrocious ... but just curious ... I also like several of the girls' names above.

pp that recently met a Rocco and yes, he is super Italian :)
