I paid $400 for an individual plan before Obamacare, and now pay more than $800. But that's for a plan with twice the deductible. If I wanted a plan comparable to the $400 plan, it was $1080. Almost tripled in three years!

Pre ACA, I couldn't get insurance. Now I can.  There are two sides to this. Yes, it needs fixing. But, what Trump is proposing will hurt others. You want to go back to a system that prevented others from getting insurance; ACA is costing you a fortune. What is the answer for ALL Americans? That is what a leader is supposed to address, not just your (or my) status.[/quote]

Well, PP, you told the previous PP who had no healthcare before the ACA. She really ought to die for depriving you of, what, some extra money that you CAN afford to pay, but just don't want to.

And, PP, did you LOSE your healthcare? Are you dying of a treatable disease because you no longer have insurance? No? Oh, and have you lost your home because you can't pay your medical bills? No?

So, PP, basically, you're pissed off you have to pay more money for health insurance that you didn't have to pay before the ACA. What did you do with that money? Take nice vacations? Buy a nicer car? DP. PP is arguing in favor of a plan (Obamacare) that allows health care executives to make millions every year while the lower middle class skips vacations to pay for the less fortunate.

?  You think ACA is the law that allowed insurance execs to make millions?  It really wasn't ACA that allowed this. I'm all for curbing CEO pays. You think Trump will go for that?

You want something that is good for you but bad for the less fortunate.  That's the flip side of your argument.   I suppose your next argument would be "why should I have to pay for someone else"?  Well, we all do that when we pay taxes. Plus, I guess I could say, "Why should I buy American made products just so that an American have a job"?  See how that works?[/quote]
