Come on. It’s a huge public FU because people track that.

Did you not see the absolute sh-t storm when Travis unfollowed Ryan? They knew that it would be public with an hour. It’s a public way of saying I no longer like this person without having to put out a statement and if you don’t think it has impact, look at [b]the Sony executives absolutely freaking out when it happened because they were afraid of what it would do to the movie. It mattered a lot.[/b]

But the movie was very successful despite the "great unfollowing." It turns out it didn't matter at all, and that the number of people who will decide to go see a movie based on whether or not the cast is following the director on instagram is not an important number.[/quote]
