Yeah Nixon caved and Kissinger gave Israel a gift. Need to look at his career again with a modern lens and a fine-toothed comb. But the US can't keep getting blackmailed and extorted with what ifs. We're bankrupt and fighting unwinnable wars on credit. At this point, in hindsight we shouldn't have helped Israel in 1973, and we shouldn't help them anymore period. Regardless of the outcome of 1973 without US aid, the world would obviously be a lot less dangerous today.[/quote]
