Right.  I am very pro-HS soccer, but I do have some sympathy for the clubs for the sh!t timing (ID sessions and Jeff. Cup and other spring tournaments and showcases happening just as the HS season is getting started in NOVA).  I don't know when else they can hold spring ID sessions that they won't have conflicts.

The denigration of HS soccer, from parents and some club coaches alike, does drive me more than a little batty. Reeks of the "futbol is life" "beautiful game"    snobbery that turns so many of us off. [/quote]

I agree with the timing of Jeff Cup for older age groups.  Why not have the showcase during the first two weeks and then the younger kids in the last two weeks.  Are there other major showcases conflicting with the first two weeks?[/quote]

Other than GA Champions Cup and ECNL Florida Spring?  Not sure.  But those have been the weekends for Jeff Cup forever, why would they change?  [/quote]
