Too bad that Hardy can’t have nice things like Alice Deal.
Too bad the DC kids in the basement can’t have nice city-owned athletic fields for even one day per month right after school like the affluent Maret kids.
You mean the poor kids who live in Georgetown and Palisades who’s parents want to take a DPR property for their solo use? Hardy’s PTA should just raise the money to improve Hardy.
The parents will never do it. They are lazy and expect everyone else to do something for their kids. They’d be delighted to have their kids play on Jelleff field that somebody else paid for.
DC taxpayers paid for that field-$15 mn for that land and $7 min has been allocated to renovate the rec center. The money Maret is providing (95k/year) is peanuts. Maybe you should talk to Jack Evans, Maret parent and soon to be convicted felon, about how the city is now flush with taxpayer cash.
+1. Will this Maret deal be part of the federal investigations into the Jack Evans corruption case?
I think have enough to worry about with the Evans Metro and Colonial Parking investigation and the Bowser-developers bribery investigation.
