POY is going to be interesting call for Patriot District. Robo A? Robo G? WP M? WP G?
Which one of these players was pivotal for their teams success?
Goalie
WP goalie
While the WP goalie is good Robo scored 18 against WP so I think it would tilt towards Robo here
Not sure if points = “of the year” . It should be who consistently showed up and made an impact, like without their presence, leadership, teamwork, and talent the team would have done a lot worse.
That sounds a Team MVP award. I look at the District POY as the best player in the district. If there was a draft, who be the consensus first selection. For example, you can have a really good player on a mid-level team that is more important to their team than a great player that is on the dominant team. That is, the dominant team could probably succeed even without the great player but the mid-level team would have been a lot worse without the good player. In my opinion, the POY should go to the great player even if the team would have still performed very well. I have no idea who defines good and great players in the Patriot, but I have seen great players on dominant teams get lost in some of these awards.
