https://www.thebaltimorebanner.com/sports/ted-leonsis-new-arena-virginia-dc-maryland-wes-moore-WKFAWJW6FZAJVDXYAF5BOL467A/ I guess Ted now has at least talked to Maryland, continuing his billionaire desire to have others pay for his new toy.
What a smarmy scumbag. I hope MD doesn't fall for his "deals," VA continues to reject, and Ted has to go groveling back to DC - and the only offer a fraction of what they were offering before.
Narrator: He will grovel back to DC. MD isn't interested.
His pride will prevent him from doing ever considering D.C. again. It’s the Nationals Landing or Harbour or bust. But there’s a dark horse in this race: Maybe he’ll move the teams back to Baltimore. (Baltimoreans would love their Baltimore Bullets back. They kind-of got the Colts back with the Ravens, but they’ve been w/o their beloved Bullets all these years. The Caps though were always a D.C. franchise.) The Baltimore Harbour has all these snazzzy redevelopment plans designed by European star architects. I can imagine the new Baltimore Arena becoming the linchpin for a revived Lexington Market / Charles Center neighborhood.
