Not sure how you think the government is actually shutdown when  thousands of Feds are still working. They’re not getting paid, but they are working.

Seems the D strategy is working though. Thune is now bleating on about not getting rid of the filibuster because it would hurt his credibility. As if the GOP has any credibility at this point. In any event, it’s clear that the GOP was planning on pinning the OBBB disaster on the Dems. Instead the GOP is going to have to own it. [/quote]
