Look at boys fall standings.  Now consider that many of the players on those teams are leaving due to recent actions.  Does no one any good to drive to Virginia Beach to get killed by real clubs 50-0.  [/quote]

So are you saying that after the decision was made to put VYS in the VPL, a bunch of players left and made the teams much weaker for the 2015-16 season? Or the 2015-16 teams stayed the same/added players and believed they would be able to compete better than they actually did? [/quote]

The former happened on at least one team. It was a team that was already weakened by a few defections to Bethesda South, the year before the VPL move. Then they moved to VPL and lost some players whose parents didn't want to drive to Richmond for league games. Double whammy.

Now they'll lose players who don't want to get pummeled in all their league games.

Best bet would be just removing the VYS team from that age group and letting another club take that team's spot. I *think* that's legal, but I'm not sure.[/quote]
