Yes, wonder how that happened.  Oh wait, I don't.  VOICE and APAH got a bunch of signatures from affordable housing activists and residents of affordable housing who have been told that CARD is trying to kick them out of their homes.  Seems legit.  Their spokesperson doesn't even live in Arlington.  But it's totally a grassroots org and representative of the majority of voters in South Arlington.

I am a lifelong Democrat and am disgusted that the powers that be are not engaging in best practices.  The proposed AH plan in its earlier form was quite clearly a bag of goodies for the AH folks—it was all quantity, quantity, quantity.  Comments could appropriately be made about the make-up of the “citizens group” who helped to devise the plan and the advisability of turning over county policy-writing to people who advocate for certain interests.

It seems to me that the appearance on the scene of CARD surprised both the AH developers and the county’s housing department and spoiled their party.  Diversity?  Inclusion?  CARD may be the AH developers’ worst nightmare.

If the ACDC continues on the path set out for them by AH developers and their political arms, they will no longer be getting my vote. [/quote]
